Poets of the World: Twenty Years of a Planetary Voice

On October 14, 2025, Poets of the World celebrated twenty years of existence. During these two decades, thousands of poets from all continents have joined this movement, bringing together nearly 9,500 members from 143 countries, confirming its deeply planetary character.

Our journey has not been without difficulties. Some years ago we lost our website and its entire database, and our Facebook page — which had more than 40,000 followers — was hacked, a situation that remains unresolved despite numerous efforts.

However, the story does not end there.

In November 2025, we unexpectedly recovered the historical archives of our former website, making it possible to begin rebuilding our digital platform. After months of work, we are pleased to announce that on March 21, 2026, World Poetry Day, the new Poets of the World website will be launched.

In a time of unprecedented civilizational crisis, poetry remains conscience, memory, and hope.

For this reason, now more than ever, the voice of poets must be heard across the entire planet.
