MY BALCANIC GARDEN

Fearless roses
of my balcanic garden,
I never loved you.
But I do recognize the secrets
and yours soon appeared to me
pure and proud in his red.
I will take care of you too.
I got purple locks
and I belong to the sea
breaking its waves right on my chest,
and trains here
are much more sad than ships in the dawn.
I know a port where stars dock
but a harbour of shameless roses,
do not recall anything to me.
I will take care of you, and of the black cat too
but do not trouble too much about me:
I have already been caught
by nets of different skies.

BONFIRE

I don't know
if it was the moon
-interval between the world and everywhere-,
but the shadows stretched out,
silence took back its place;
everything else
doesn't matter,
a divided, off-key,
foreign thing,
and I haven't forgotten
any solitude.
This is why, I beg you,
to light a match.
I could disappear.

biografia:

Monica Osnato was born in Palermo on march 5,1963.
Chemical studies.
She lives between Rome and abroad.

Poet and painter, has published:

She is co-founder of the Italian Cultural Association 'Le Mele-Grane' dealing with the spread of poetry with particular emphasis on female creativity.
Some of her poems are translated in English and Spanish.
Several awards, national and international, where she obtained records and first places, even in children literature.
Her work is in many poetic anthologies.
She has attended international literary meetings.
