Biography
Oz Hardwick is a British poet, writer, photographer, and musician based in York. His work has been widely published and performed internationally in journals, anthologies, festivals, and readings across Europe, the United States, and Australia. In addition to his creative work, he is a Professor of Creative Writing at Leeds Trinity University.
He is the author of numerous poetry collections and chapbooks, including Learning to Have Lost (2018), which won the Rubery International Book Award for poetry, and A Census of Preconceptions (2022). His poetry often explores memory, contemporary culture, and the relationship between past and present, combining lyrical, narrative, and experimental elements.
Alongside his literary work, Hardwick frequently develops interdisciplinary projects that bring together poetry, music, and visual arts, and he has performed at a wide range of international festivals and literary events, from small venues to stages such as the Glastonbury Festival.
