Me, as meDesire at a nightfall,
craving at dawn,
pain and lust,
unreal desire,
forbidden love,
memories,
commitment,
wildest dreams,
the need for tenderness,
suffering and happiness,
all that
coagulated into
a faceless mass,
mass of emotions,
exaggerated emotions,
turbulent spirits,
condemnation and hypocrisy,
unexplained fears,
norms and rules,
ordinary,
everyday,
impersonal and haggard,
miserable and sad,
individuals
drawn through our lives
and leaving an eternal trace.
9. XI 2009. DRIFTING OFF LAGOS

Autumn Twilight in the suburb,
soaked streets,
heavy men's boots
trampling through the rain puddles
piles of fallen leaves
and the smell of autumn
that heavily trawls,
penetrates into the pores
and permeates me wholly,
while struggling through a stagnant haze
and occasional stray passers by
even crazier than me
going ...
I wonder
where are they going,
do they know where they are going.
Or they're actually leaving ...
10. XI 2009. DRIFTING OFF LAGOS

Aron BaretićI was borned 23.11.1965. in Rijeka, Croatia.
As a continuation of a family tradition I have chosen seamen's profession for my own.Therefore I have spent last 22 years on the ships, 7 among as a Master of an ocean going tankers.
Been writing a poetry in an early 20's, although very different from the present one.
