WHEN THE CLOUD PERCHED TO MOUNTAINAt the lake time of swans
whiteness glided slenderly
from piano's keys.
In the morning's catching fire lights
there was a tepid smoky movement
and a season of pouring fire.
Colorfull colts were falling
on me from the picture of ceiling.
The wind which could'nt perch to the mountain
gived up blowing
it found white keys
on the attic of the city, took sol*
and put it on my heart,
white sol became black like sharp,
wet eyed wounded colt
which could'nt fall from the ceiling.
When the cloud perched to mountain
on the late evening, the light of music shined
in the depths of the lake,
I saw all the colors on the swan.
At the end, black colt falled into my room
the wind began to blow
at the fragile of fall inside me.
As if pulse of time stop
with a scent of spring which was going mad.
the stone wall of sadness falled down.
When the sky entered inside of me
my pale window have filled with butterflies.

Rengârenk taylar düsüyordu
üstüme, tavandaki resimden.
Buluta konamayan rüzgâr
vazgeçti esmekten
beyaz tuslar buldu
sehrin tavanarasinda, aldi solu
birakti kalbimin üstüne
diyeze çalip karardi beyaz sol,
tavandan düsemeyen
islak gözlü yarali tay gibi.
Bulut daga konunca aksam sonu
yandi müzigin isigi
gölün derinliklerinde,
gördüm kuguda, renklerin hepsini.
Düstü sonunda kara tay odama
esmeye basladi rüzgar
içimdeki sonbahar kirilganliginda.
Nabzi durmustu sanki zamanin,
baharin deliren kokusuyla
yikildi hüznün tas duvari.
Içime girince gökyüzü
kelebeklendi solgun pencerem.
PASSINGLife is between two mountains.
Passing from bridge or water.
Love was an unruly river
which attempted to pass from sky.
Was the passion a drop that perched to wind?
Was doubt flame that looking for the house of rain?
The prickled love verses falled
in the middle of broken voiced dusty record,
they blew out the desire in the mountain.
Love shaked off dreams fom its tree
when the sorrow untied its knot.
Death is between two clouds.
While the love bird burries her treasures
to the cave that storm carved
as if she smells the letters of the magic verses.
She whispers the secret of flying on the cloud
as a traveller season
which is ready to run from its branches.

Firtinanin oydugu magaraya
definelerini gömerken ask kusu
büyülü bir dizenin harflerini
kokluyor sanki.
Fisildiyor uçmanin ve
bulutta durmanin sirrini
dallarindan kaçmaya hazir
gezgin bir mevsim gibi.
THE QUIET WALL She rides a blind horse
with a pinch of fire word in her soul.
She lives all the nights in the past,
scent of waves and grass are witness to sin.
Ash-colored cat rubs itself agains to her ankle,
music silences sobbing woman.
Standing hair on end can not be stopped.
Sands on the coast call storm
when they are bored.
They make fun in a close embrace
with a ghost's cold harmonica accompaniment.
A grasshopper murmurs the song,
the smoking chimney afar takes off its hat
and greets the woman.
She gives her love to wind.
Now she is a quiet wall
that afraids of falling down.
Grasses which cover stone wall are happy.

DILEK DEGERLIShe was borned in 1961 in Konya, Turkey. She was graduated from Konya
Anatolian High School in 1979, Istanbul Technical University
Architectural Faculty in 1984. At the same University she studied Master
Program in Building Information of Architecture and she was graduadet in
1986.
She worked as an architect along 20 years. She exhibited her paintings
in Istanbul. She translated a lot of American poets' poems to Turkish.
Her poems, essays and translations were published in poetry magazines
like Eliz, Mor Taka, Berfin Bahar, Akademi Gökyüzü, Ç.N., Mavi Ada,
Sahafin Keçisi, Simge, Çerçevesiz Sanat, Artshop Çeviri. She worked in
editor department of Ç.N., Sahafin Keçisi and Çerçevesiz Sanat. The
subjects of her poems are dreams, sorrow, passion, love, life, death,
disappointments and nature. Images and dreamy inner expressions take an
important place in her poems.
