Tân Bō͘-chin / 陳慕真

Tân Bō͘-chin（b. 1980）was born in Pîn-tong. She got Master Degree in Arts from the Institute of Taiwanese Literature at National Cheng Kung University and now a PhD candidate in the Department of Taiwan Culture, Language and Literature at National Taiwan Normal University. She was one of the executive editors of  “Hái-ang Quarterly of Teaching Taiwanese”（海翁台語文教學季刊）and the co-editor of the special columns of the Taiwanese and Hakfa Literature in Communication of National Museum of Taiwan Literature. Her works include “Views on Civilization in Romanized Taiwanese Literature--Centering on Taiwan Prefectural City Church News”（漢字之外：台灣府城教會報 kap台語白話字文獻中ê文明觀）and poems selected into “2009 Poet Walking--Annual Collection of Taiwanese Poets” （2009詩行──年度台語詩人大會集）and “Streams, Lands, and Affairs--Annual Selected Works of 2009 Taiwanese Literature”（流、土地、戀：2009台語文學選）。

Placed in a large appliances area;

Will they exchange opinion with each other at night,

For Cho-iaN（左營）in Takao and Tiong-an（長安）in China.

Sitting side by side are calligraphy painting of Bu Eng-hok（巫永福）and buttons

     of Lim Hai-im（林海音）

Go Sin-eng（吳新榮）’s upstair neighbors are I Kong-tiong（余光中）and Chiu

     Bong-tiap（周夢蝶）,

Opposite the letters of Chu Se-leng（朱西寧）are

The manuscripts of Chiong Li-ho（鍾理和）,

In the central cabinet of document are

Yellowish, aged duplicates of

Lam-im（南音）and Tai-oan-Sin-Bin-po（台灣新民報）

Among them, was anyone willing to be here?

Herein, all the diverse ideologies

Are forced to keep in superficial harmony;

Herein, all the varied national identities

Transformed into soundless silence;

Here at night, will Ng Chioh-hui（黃石輝）and TiuN GoN-kun（張我軍）fight

     another round

On Native Literature Debate?

Letters of mutual criticism

Enclosed in books concealing secrets of whole life,

Views on certain literature events written in manuscripts

Preserved together with the writers,

With tenacity to outlast their masters,

In this literature storeroom

They shall live on forever.
