In 2007 Harents graduated from the Department of MA of the Oriental Studies of the State University of Yerevan. He excellently defended Master thesis on topic of “The poet Abu-l-Alaa\\\' al- Ma\\\'arri and Avetik Isahakyan’s poem «Abu-Lala Mahari»”.
Eduard Harents is an author of an innovation in the Arabic Studies of Armenian Oriental Studies related to Arabic versification and to the particularities of Armenian Language.
He masters three foreign languages: French, Russian and Arabic.
Harents is an author of four Poetry Collection; the fifth collection is going to be published soon. His works have been published in many Armenian and foreign magazines and literal anthologies. The Armenian Writer’s Union twice awarded him with “Gretert” literal Youth’s newsletter annual prize, in the fields of Poetry, in 2007 and 2011, and of translation, in 2009 and 2011. The poems of Eduard Harents partly were translated into Russian, French, English, Ukraine, and other languages. The author translates old and modern original poems from Arabic, Israelite, French and Russian into Armenian language. Also he translates Armenian modern poetry from Armenian into French.

Van Gogh was relieved of his ear,
because he didn’t need it:
he had already heard Genius.
Al-Ma’arri actually saw as much,
that no longer
eyes were so important.
Charents had no grave,
because
he is not dead yet.
I greet people with my left hand,
because with my right hand
I have already greeted God…

Life lives me with all my details,
and I turn around it
as a color of another brush.
My canvases are full of hole
as a Japanese coin,
through that in turn
all my loves always rescue out
from me with outgoing ringing
about my wonderful loss…
And my claps
are heavier me.
So I’ve collected them
in my hand
as an tattered paper
and keep them
for the last – the death
to revamp its masks,
that will be hole one day,
as my canvases are.
And I’ll ring out forever,
and life will live on me
with all my details…

And till around me membranes chewing
prostitute times,
for captivating my heart,
are changing the hues of
their die for barren underclothing,-
my beloved color in the world

Summers are crumbling flushing,
as Rodin’s «Danaide’s» membranes of brain…
Autumns are weary untidy from fate,
out from their hue -
as painter’s bra- splitted in barocco style…
Winters are self-refute pistils’
pallid prolongation
from green dreams of angels …
But still I’m the spring
of unrequited love…

among your red oaths
the colours of the angels
are reluctantly raining;
the rain is punctuating squalls
on my soul’s pavement,
which you’re
breathing
now-
as a crock-crow…

I am plucking now
the eyelashes of silence piece by piece
and patching my prayer,
which has splitted by nuances of word…
Now the nuance is more than the voice…
And now I’m already
entering the church of Hope barefooted,
for my steps won’t draw voices to my fortune.
How many footprints have been splitted by the whispers…
And my footprint
is my prayer of love,
which never ends,
as it’s never coloures in words…
And now
the main colour is,
that love is the poem of the feeling…
That muses don’t become to women…

Das Leben lebt mich in allen Einzelheiten,
und ich umkreise es,
wie Farbe an einem fremden Pinsel.
Meine Gemälde haben Löcher
wie eine japanische Münze.
Und durch diese Löcher retten sie sich nach draußen,
eine nach der anderen, alle meine Lieben, vor mir,
entfernen sich mit einem Läuten,
für meine wunderbare Verlorenheit…
Und der Beifall, den ich klatsche,
wiegt schwerer als mein Ich.
Deshalb bewahre ich jeden Beifall
in meinen Handflächen auf,
in Form zerknitterter Geldscheine,
und bewahre sie auf für das Ende, den Tod,
um seine Masken zu flicken,
die eines Tages Löcher bekommen werden,
genau wie meine Gemälde,
und immer werde ich läuten,
und das Leben wird mich weiter leben,
in allen Einzelheiten.

Morgen, dieser Tag, das ist Petrus,
mit Rosen in der Hand,
verführerisch wie eine Übersetzung.
Die Wörter am Tage,
der Kaffee ohne Muttermilch,
sie werden hinunter gleiten,
durch die Kehle des Alls.
Und die gelbe Verwandlung der Liebe
wird herausstechen wie die Fischgräte
vom vorhergehenden Abendessen;
ähnlich der Gebete zur Beichte…
Unter Wasserfällen von Licht…
Und im grünen Fluss meines Blutes
taufen Fische
die Brust der Najaden.

Ich möchte,
dass mein Fiebern umflirre das Lächeln
der Liebsten,
beim heimlichen Betrachten ihrer eigenen Brust,
wenn die blaue Milch des Himmels
schonungslos
in die Mäuler hungriger Wölfe fließt,
wenn die Schweine arglos kauen
an der Brustwarze der Morgenröte…
Ich werde kommen und dein Beben fassen.
Erkälte dich nachts,
bis deine Milch stockt, Maria -
draußen, um das Haus herum,
überall wimmeln die morgendlichen Kains…

Ich pflücke jetzt
einzeln die Wimpern des Schweigens
und flicke mein Gebet,
das zerrissen ist, durch die Färbungen des Wortes…
Gerade jetzt ist Färbung mehr als Stimme…
Und ich betrete bereits
barfuß die Kirche der Erwartung,
damit diese Schritte auf meinem Schicksal
keine Spuren hinterlassen.
Wie viele Fußspuren sind schon durch Geflüster aufgerissen!...
Und das Meine ist
Anbetung der Liebe,
die nie endet,
durch kein Wort gefärbt…
Und gerade jetzt
ist die Hauptfarbe die,
dass die Liebe Verdichtung des Gefühls ist…
und die Musen nicht zu Frauen werden …

Unter dem Fenster der Dichtung
verjubele ich betrunken von jedem
Jahrhundertende bis zum nächsten Anfang
Serenaden…
Und während um mich herum
wechseln die Zeiten,
hurend, Schalen kauend,
um mein Herz zu gewinnen,
die Schattierungen wechselnd,
ihrer zum Sterben sterilen Leibwäsche,
einbüßend alle Instinkte,-
ist und bleibt meine Lieblingsfarbe auf der Welt
die Dichtung…

PARADOXE
Les rêveries sont elles-mêmes les ailes de l’âme,
qui planent plus haut que celle-ci.
La biographie c’est l’ombre du fatum:
on ne la voit qu’à la lumière, ah…
Les aveux sont les meilleurs rôles de la grâce,
qui ont duré plus longuement que celle-ci…
Et… les cafards sont les enfants des retours,
qui naissent toujours plus tôt que même leurs parents…
