"The Poets of the World will declare any space where they have to be or be, as their own sand to combat evil, whether in the great and cold palaces of power or in the miserable cavern of the city, on the lawn where the man of the earth works or at the very bottom of the mine where the miner spits blood, but the poet will not stop visiting any neighborhood to bring the word, as if it were rain that falls on the earth, making a spectacle of grace, as if they were flowers for the eyes of humanity. The poet will be the light that guides the warrior as if he were dunes in the darkness of the night"

(ARTICLE 8: Universal Manifesto of Poets of the World).
