Biography
Interpreter, writer, and artist, Tamruja Dharmasaroja has developed an interdisciplinary career since 2008, bringing together language, art, and social engagement. She is a simultaneous interpreter specializing in social development, law enforcement, sustainability, and culture, and has collaborated with more than fifty major international organizations.
Alongside her professional work, she is a bilingual poet, visual artist, and lecturer in art and culture. Her practice—spanning poetry, film, and visual arts—explores Southeast Asia through a lens that integrates grassroots experience with policy perspectives, offering a contemporary reflection on territory, identity, and social transformation.

Alongside her professional work, she is a bilingual poet, visual artist, and lecturer in art and culture. The book follows a traveling narrative voice across Thailand, documenting regional landscapes and communities through close engagement. It was also the only experimental poetry title selected to represent Thailand at the Taipei International Book Exhibition 2026.
She has translated two Winnie-the-Pooh titles into Thai in poetic form for Read 101 Publishing. Her broader body of work also includes essays and critical writing on art, sustainability, and environmental issues.
Throughout her career, she has received several international recognitions, including the S.E.A. Write Award shortlist (2025), the UNDP Media Fellowship in Climate and Biodiversity (Bangkok, 2024), recognition as a finalist for the UK Alumni Award in Culture and Creativity (2023), the Excellent Service Award in Arts and Cultural Management from the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok (2016), and the distinction of Thailand’s Best Student of the Year (2001), awarded by Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn and the Ministry of Education.

Intérprete, escritora y artista, Tamruja Dharmasaroja desarrolla una trayectoria interdisciplinaria desde 2008, integrando lenguaje, arte y compromiso social. Es intérprete simultánea especializada en desarrollo social, sostenibilidad, seguridad pública y cultura, y ha colaborado con más de cincuenta organizaciones internacionales.
Es poeta bilingüe, artista visual y docente en arte y cultura. Su obra —que abarca poesía, cine y artes visuales— explora el sudeste asiático desde una mirada que combina experiencia de base y perspectivas de políticas públicas.
Escribe principalmente en tailandés y centra su trabajo en el impacto social y la cultura contemporánea. Su libro Sunrise Catcher fue finalista del Premio S.E.A. Write 2025 y representó a Tailandia como única obra de poesía experimental en la Feria Internacional del Libro de Taipéi 2026.
Ha traducido al tailandés, en versión poética, dos títulos de Winnie-the-Pooh. Su trabajo incluye también ensayos y crítica sobre arte, sostenibilidad y medio ambiente.
