Jui-Ling Chien, alia Nuria Chien
Chien Jui-ling, alias Nuria Chien, born in southern Taiwan, is a poet, translator, and cultural bridge across languages and continents. She is a member of the Li Poetry Society and serves as Vice President for Asia of the World Poets Movement (WPM / PPdM). Her poetic journey has taken her to international poetry festivals in Peru, Mexico, Vietnam, and Mongolia, where her voice resonates beyond borders.
She is the author of the trilingual poetry collection There Is Always Poetry (Chinese–English–Spanish). Her translations into Spanish include the Taiwanese poetry anthology Voyage of the Island and the novel The Inner Sea: Daofong, among other works, contributing to the circulation of Taiwanese literature in the Spanish-speaking world.
In 2023, she was named Honorary Citizen of Santiago de Chuco, Peru, and received the Orpheus Texts Translator of the Year Award (USA), honors that recognize a literary practice sustained by resilience, d ...
