Born in Tokyo in 1956. He was Research Fellow at the University of London, and is Professor at Nihon University, Japan (English Literature/Comparative Literature).
Haiku poet; Member of World Haiku Association.
He gave an invitational address to the Haiku Society of America Conference in Chicago; held a symposium on haiku at the American Literature Association Conference in Boston; Haiku translation for a film of a wandering haiku poet, “Hokaibito—Seigetsu in Ina.”
